Dunes I is meant to convey a feeling, more than a place or moment in time.

Whenever I take my kids to the dunes at Sandbanks Provincial Park, my worries and fears disappear. The silky white sand between my toes, the sound of my two little boys giggling and grunting as they try to race up the steep, sandy slopes… the exchange of reality for a day of blissful freedom. I can’t help but feel lighter.

No matter how hard life can be - and trust me, life hasn’t been a walk in the park - a day at the beach with my kids is better than any therapy session or medicinal cure.
