Smell After the Rain is a gorgeous, abstract commission piece that was created just as the flowers started to bloom and the temperatures began to rise. While planning for this commission, the afternoons were finally warm enough to open the windows and clear out my studio. The distinct smell of rain and wet grass filled my practice, and had a significant influence on the final product that I created.

To me, the smell after the rain signals hope and new beginnings, which is exactly what I hope this piece brought to a new home owner looking to fill her space with intention and meaning.
